Friends of a Nigerian businessman, Prince Obieze Nestor who allegedly tortured to death in Dubai police custody following his arrest for allegedly displaying hard currencies online have expressed outrage on his death in custody.

Nestor, who is said to be into oil and gas as well as motor dealership is notorious for flashy pictures of himself on Instagram with cash and exotic cars. His last post of on Instagram on January 8 after flaunting wads of dollars.

He was arrested on the 12th of January, 2021 for displaying wads of cash on his Instagram page.

“After he posted the video, police stormed his house, arrested and detained him with no access to a lawyer or his girlfriend’’.

Nestor allegedly died during interrogation and his body has been deposited in the mortuary.

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) and the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs are yet to formally react to the development.
