Nigeria’s female basketball team, D’Tigress will be bolstered with the appointment of Abisola Olajuwon as the assistant coach of the team to the Paris Olympics.

Olajuwon is the daughter of hall of fame and one of NBA ‘s greatest of all time centres, Hakeem Olajuwon. She is the assistant coach for Connecticut Sun in the WNBA.

She will be working alongside head coach Rena Wakama.

D’Tigress qualified for the Olympics without winning a game in the qualifying tournament Antwerp, Belgium. They will compete in Group B against Canada, Australia and host nation France.

Their first game is against the Aussies on July 29 and France on August 1st .
