IMPOSTORS: Arrest Of Phony ICE Agents In Trump’s Immigration Crackdown 

The nationwide immigration raids ordered by President Donald Trump have led to a spate of arrests of individuals accused of impersonating ICE agents in various states.

CNN reports that arrests have been made in at least three states including South Carolina where a n impostor harassed and detained a group of Latino men.

Sean-Michael Johnson, 33, was allegedly caught on video stopping a vehicle near Charleston, taunting the driver with racist remarks and claiming he was sending them “back to Mexico.” He reportedly took the driver’s keys, mocked his accent, and knocked a phone from his hand when the man tried to call for help in Spanish, shouting: “Now don’t be speaking that pig-Latin in my f***ing country!”

Johnson was charged with three counts of kidnapping and one count each of impersonating a law enforcement officer, petty larceny, assault and battery, according to jail records. He was released from jail over the weekend after paying a bond following his family’s plea with the judge, saying that their son has mental health issues and “has tried to get help” in the past, “but he needs to continue with that therapy.”  

InPhiladelphia, police arrested 22-year-old Aidan Steigelmann, charging him with impersonating a public servant, with the university saying that he’s been placed on “interim suspension.”

Two other suspects involved in the incident fled the scene in a light-coloured SUV, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

In another incident in in Raleigh, North Carolina, Carl Thomas Bennett was arrested for allegedly impersonating an ICE officer and sexual assaulting a woman at a Motel, threatening to deport her if she didn’t comply.

Police reports indicated that Bennett, 37, “threatened to deport the victim if she did not have sex with him,” and “displayed a business card with a badge on it.
