US Seize Private Jet Suspected To Belong To Nigerian Linked To Multi-million Dollar fraud

US federal agents have seized a private jet belonging to a Nigerian charged in multimillion dollar international fraud scheme.

Federal agents got wind of the jet being put up for sale at Peachtree DeKalb Airport, they collected evidence from the plane having swept the plane for drugs and other contraband.

Agents didn’t say specifically how they connected the plane to the man now facing fraud charges.

As federal agents went through the plane, the suspected owner was appearing in court for an initial appearance.

A removal hearing will also be held to send him back to New York, where the charges he faces were originally filed.

Two well-known Nigerians are facing fraud charges in the US - One is 56-year-old Allen Onyema, the chairman/founder of Air Peace, is accused of moving money from Nigeria and other sources through US bank accounts in a scheme that involved organizations he founded in Nigeria and false documents related to the purchase of airplanes.

The other is Obinwanne (Invictus Obi) Okeke was picked up by the FBI following investigation into a $12m fraud in August.
