IRELAND: Stormzy Is Lukaku In Irish Herald

By Published July 11, 2017

UK Grime music star, Stormzy has called out an Irish newspaper on an embarrassing blunder after a headline story about premiership footballer and Manchester United new signing Romelu Lukaku was published with his picture.

The 23 year old took to Twitter after The Herald mixed the two men up writing: “I don’t find none of this funny btw.” “Don’t wanna sound like the party pooper who missed the joke…”

The paper replied to the performer: “Sincere apologies, we don’t think it’s funny either.”

In an apology on their website Alan Steenson, Herald Editor wrote: “Hands up, we got it badly wrong.

Earlier, we made an error with a picture of Romelu Lukaku that wasn’t him. It was Stormy. To be honest, we are totally embarrassed and want to say sorry to all involved and our readers for the error. We will keep our eye on the ball in future.”

The Irish Herald claimed the story was the first interview with the 24-year-old star since moving to Manchester United, with the headline: 'Lukaku is ready for work'.
